Can’t Help Myself This torture is self-inflicted, baby I think I’m addicted To having my idea of humanity always contradicted In my head it’s depicted, rising above animals Overcoming all intangibles, and damn it makes me feel uplifted Then people start to speak, then people start to act People still suffer and the painting becomes abstract Until it makes no sense, like preferred ignorance Am I Captain Jean-Luc or Burt Reynolds in Deliverance We have mastery over Nuclear Fission And still fight wars over religion I see the great divide between the classes Through these goddamn rosy glasses Fix my gaze upon the cosmos, never made it up to Davos Everything is twisted like the words of St. John of Patmos Where is the Sacred Soul, What happened to MLK Oh yeah, they were both assassinated in the light of day Why do I keep hopin’ that all minds can open And evolve like we were dancin’ to a tune by Aaron Copland I still see potential where violence seems essential Fear is exponential and hate is so influential Stupidity isn't punishable by death but if it was I think we’d all be outta breath I keep hopin’ for a better future out trekkin’ the stars instead of skipping on solutions And bears with glasses, elephants with holes you've been flattered into doing’ what you’re told Racing off to maintain your ant colony, while not turning back to offer an apology / I don't think you understand the kind of mess that we are in I JUST CAN’T HELP MYSELF, I KEEP ON DOING THIS I JUST CAN’T HELP MYSELF, I KEEP ON DOING THIS

XYZ 03:00
XYZ Verse 1 Tell me what you mean about the space between us All I see is yesteryears and long gone meanings As if some bells would toll and they'd take us away Watching from towers on high like some kind of saint Verse 2 I've got a lock and I've got a key It’s like a straight shot through infinity But I got confronted by some kind of Destiny She pulled the noose loose and set me free Chorus We're always wanting Never needing Your social season reasons disease and boycotts treason When you're gone away too long they'll turn on you with charm I’ll tell you what you need Another dose of XYZ
4.
Whipping Beam (Verse) Get in where you fit in, try to find a seat to sit in If you can’t find your place go back to the beginning And do it all again and just take it on the chin But then you’re back in the same situation you've been in Losing even when you’re winnin, grinnin only when you’re sinnin And you wish somebody would do ya like John Lennon But you take it on the chin and then you do it all again And meanwhile the whole damn world just keeps spinnin If it keeps turnin why does it stand so still for me Inside there’s a forest burning killing every living tree I am slowly learning there is nowhere that is left to flee Soon and very soon ashes will be all that’s left to see Will this provide fertile ground for a rebirth Of a different kind of animal not made for this earth Not built for this society, every thought an impropriety Cause I can’t worship money and call that shit piety (Chorus) Tied up to a whipping beam Stuck inside mechanic a dreams, when it's finally the end They'll reload it all again And again, and again, and again (Verse) No emotion, no reaction to the sound of the gavel pound You know that this fate was just bound to be handed down Upward mobility like a ship run aground Cause this economic cycle keeps comin back around Every era, every age century after century The crown, the upper class, the wealthy, the landed gentry On the backs of the lower Castes to maintain their plenty don’t forget the past children cause the promise is empty It’s so hypnotic, patriotic, robotic and episodic Can we cut the cord cause this relationship’s not symbiotic I sound like a Lib-Slacker lookin for a tree to hug Get me reprogrammed or just pull the fuckin plug Teach me how to find the lord and watch a lot of Fox news And quit bitchin bout a system that has me set up to lose Teach me to keep my head down and take it like the rest Keep my nose to that grind till the day I clutch my chest

Pretty Pretty Plastic Verse 1 It ain’t easy dealin’ with all these acquisitions and mergers When all I wanna do is focus on executions and murders I’m on the top floor but you know I gotta be pushin’ it further To the roof of the world I keep climbin’ like a Sherpa And I don’t know, and I can’t explain exactly what drives me But what I can say is there’s very precious few who survive me Cause everything’s been divided down to the smallest fraction Now there’s just an idea, some type of abstraction I try to feed my appetite but it keeps gettin’ bigger For another penny I’d sell my own mother down the river I don’t feel a damn thing not even the slightest shiver Every now and then somethin’ causes memories to trigger Of a faded version terminated too long ago to cast aspersion Perpetrated, violated, tormented without diversion Concentrated, decimated, forced into extreme emersion Liquidated, infiltrated into total introversion We are all to blame been shouldering all this shame We’ve been stuck inside a game stuck holding every, every Everything’s eventual everyone’s demise Been hearing lots of rubbish – telling lots of lies The shadows betray you – because you belong to me You can run from it, run from it all you want Verse 2 I got the perfect adaptation for any situation man You feel flesh grippin’ back when you go to shake my hand Classification human down to the DNA strand The fact that there’s no one here is what you can’t understand Tyler isn’t here, Tyler went away Time to march out the alter-egos like and army on parade Each persona just as fake as the one its stepin’ next to And they all kinda look the same like an uncle and a nephew All of this has happened before, and it will happen again Every time we change our skin and pretend that we ain’t hollow men We begin the trend to over-extend the grin way to thin and blend So as not to offend have more money to spend Cause we don’t, wanna step out the zone And no we don’t, wanna go home alone No we don’t, wanna be seen on the outside It’s cold and tantamount to career suicide We are all to blame been shouldering all this shame We’ve been stuck inside a game watching everything burn Fire will burn if you’re way to close – like a riot that builds when angers out of touch The sleeper must awaken cause this split is tough All the monsters deep inside they never get enough I’ve said it once, I’ll twice they’re deep inside Imagining all your flesh it’s how they stay alive History abhors my paradox this much is true Chorus Pretty pretty plastic boys Striving to be background noise Always thinking that you’re right Pretty pretty plastic boys Pretty pretty plastic boys
6.
Hiding 03:38
Hiding (Verse) All you really need to know is that this feels alright We've been down a couple lives but come back every time There’s beauty & a beast within us all and finding it’s a fight So grab whatever and make it last to get ya through the night (Chorus) Every day is history When all you chase are mysteries All sweet love is alchemy Hiding in your fantasy (Verse) We long for beaches with summer air and winter mountainsides Saving up for your dream fare now go explore inside A lust for life can get us through, let’s celebrate with wine So grab whatever and make it last to get ya through this life Bridge I need to know, I really really really need to know, why did you go like rip currents & undertow So deep inside that we’re hiding in the broken ties and left alone patiently waiting for our chance at life
